My DIY projects fail because I begin them, but often forget to finish them. Like the kitchen chairs I started to reupholster, but ran out of fabric, leaving only 3 seats coated in a funky orange print and the rest still sadly beige.

I'm changing my ways.

To begin, my sewing machine is finally being put to good use. I whipped up a throw pillow last week and now I can't be stopped. Next on the list is to make a new duvet cover using this pattern:

Obviously my Pinterest boards have been blowing up this past month with (often intimidating) inspiration from all over the internet. There are some pretty great looking Ikea hacks out there, including this record player solution:
