Under a House

This Again

Demo work is by far the most fun work. Ripping up carpet and yanking out nails - that's the good stuff. For now, that's where we are at on this project. The tedious stuff that makes you want to rip your hair out is waiting for us this weekend, so it's ignorant bliss for today.

I mentioned yesterday that we would tackle the back room of the house and turn it into a home office. Surprisingly, the hardwood is in decent shape compared to what we dug up on the first floor in December. We were told that in these old homes, the good stuff is typically used on the first floor and the second floor is a little more touch and go. If this space is any indicator, the rest of the rooms up there should be in decent condition when they are ready to be refinished.

This is quite the teaser post, mostly because it's all I have to show, but here's hoping for big things to come!
